Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine

We are a nonprofit organization serving people affected by sexual violence in eastern Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, and Waldo counties. SASSMM's mission is to support and advocate for people affected by sexual violence, while working to prevent it in our communities. We are committed to providing that support to anyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, ability, or any other identity.

We provide the following services: - A free, private 24-hour Helpline with trained advocates who are understanding and ready to help. - Emotional support to survivors and their families and friends anytime - Company for survivors who go to the hospital, police, or court - Information and referrals to different resources - Training for local agencies and organizations - Community and school-based education
