The Maine Medical Center Transitional Care Unit (TCU) is looking for Activity Volunteers. The TCU is an inpatient unit for long-stay patients that are medically ready to be discharged but are waiting for a bed in the community in long-term care or another type of facility. Volunteers will assist the coordinator with activities to keep the patients engaged. This might include art, music, playing games, etc. This is a good position for volunteers looking for patient interaction. Weekday volunteers must be age 16+. Weekend volunteers must be age 18+.
