Volunteers needed in the counties of eastern Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, and Waldo, Maine!

Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine (SASSMM) is an agency of professionals and trained volunteers dedicated to providing advocacy and support to survivors, families, and concerned others affected by sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment. SASSMM offers services throughout eastern Cumberland, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Knox, and Waldo counties.
SASSMM is seeking Volunteer Advocates for our 24-hour crisis and support line. Volunteer Advocates receive a small hourly stipend for being on call. The hourly stipend amount increases during an accompaniment.
Experience in a social services field is desirable. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Must be located in or within reasonable distance of the following Maine counties: eastern Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, and/or Waldo. Extensive training will be provided (training is unpaid).
