Emergency management is the managerial function charged with creating the framework within which communities reduce vulnerability to hazards and disasters through the four principles of emergency management; mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery.
What We Do
We assist with the protection of communities within Kennebec county by working to coordinate and integrate the resources from Federal, State, and Local agencies in an effort to reduce or eliminate hazards. Our office staffed with four people; a director, a deputy director, and two emergency planners, that all have background in emergency response with fire and EMS.
