Founded in 1965 as part of the national Community Action movement, KVCAP has grown from a small grassroots effort into one of Maine’s largest social service agencies. Over the decades, it has expanded its work to include early childhood education, housing and homelessness prevention, energy assistance, transportation, financial coaching, and a variety of stabilizing supports that help families navigate challenges and build long-term well-being.
