Who We Are

A faith-based non-profit organization, we have been serving the poor and vulnerable tpopulations of Maine since 1966. From food banks in Aroostook County to child care and senior support in York County - one network of 300 professionals, and 350 volunteers - help more than 56,000 of our neediest neighbors, answering want with generousity and replacing despair with hope.

What We Do

Each day the employees and volunteers of Catholic Charities Maine come to the aid of the poor and vulnerable across the state of Maine. We see the faces of people suffering from mental illness, hurt and frightened children, those fallen victim to loneliness and isolation, those battling addictions, anxious refugees and asylees, and thousands of others who are unfortunate or bad circumstances - and we reach out to them.
