Administrative Support Volunteer
Help Strengthen Disaster Response in Maine
About the Role
The Administrative Support Volunteer provides essential behind-the-scenes support to Maine VOAD leadership and members. This role ensures meetings, communications, and documents stay organized and accessible—directly strengthening our statewide disaster-response efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with meeting scheduling, agendas, and reminder
Maintain contact lists, membership records, and shared documents
Help manage shared inboxes and route inquiries
Organize digital files and keep documents archived
Support event logistics for trainings and member meetings
Assist the Executive Committee and Committee Chairs as needed
Qualifications
Strong organization and communication skills
Comfortable with email, shared drives, and basic office software
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Prior admin experience helpful but not required
Time Commitment
2–5 hours per month (flexible)
Additional time may be requested during disaster activations.
Location
Remote or hybrid.
Participation in occasional in-person meetings or events is welcomed.
